Assembly

Assembly was very interesting this morning because a man called Robert was playing the bagpipes and another person was playing the drums. It was really funny when Robert was playing the bagpipes because he was playing the hokey pokey song. It was different from other assemblies because when we sang the National Anthem there was no guitar. The sad thing was that Mr Burt wasn’t there because he had a meeting out in west, but assembly was still as usual.

Pirate Story

Arr'h me matey For your information my name is Captian Smarty Pants . I have yellow pants with pink stripes . My jacket is black and I have an eye patch . I've got a parrot called Jackie , My Pirate ship is very big . I've got a wooden leg which is very easy to walk around with. A shark bit my leg off when I went fishing one day, anyway that was all I wanted to say.

I was looking for treasure on an island , it was very hard to find because a lot of animals would chase after me. As I was walking around the trees I saw another pirate , I what he’s doing here he’s looking for the treasure too. I was so angry , I knew that it was going to be very hard to find the treasure when they were around.

Finally I saw the booty, it was near the other pirates but they didn’t see it. It was the time for me to take all the jewlery , Sneaking to the chest the pirate saw me and started to chase me . I was getting so tired. I just turned around and started to have a sword fight. when he swung his sword at me I dodged it and ran to put the jewlery into my pocket. I ran so fast that I could see my boat, I quickly jumped in the ship and got away. I was very lucky to escape , that was one of my favourite adventures.

Dr. Ben Carson

Walking to the bus I felt excited to meet Dr. Ben Carson , even though I didn’t know him I still wanted to meet him. While we were on the bus the places we went past were very interesting. As we strolled out onto the grass we lined up and we waited for a very long time , finally we went inside to sit down. It was very noisy. There were a lot of different schools there, my school had the most children there. It was like there was a rugby game there.

As Dr. Ben Carson was telling us about his story, he told us that he was the dumbest in the class. His mum went around to houses so she can clean it and get money for her kids. She was very poor. The only thing that Ben and his brother do is watch TV . One day Ben’s mother went to the library and got books for her two son’s to read. When she got back home she turned off the TV and said, read this book and write an SA about it. Ben and his brother were very angry, but they did it any way.

Ben was reading a book about rocks, when he finished reading it he went to school the next day and there teacher held up a rock and said what is this called. As Ben looked around the classroom no one put there hand up. Since no one put there hand up Ben did, everyone looked at him and said this is going to be a good one, but Ben wasn’t scared, his answer was Obsidian. The teacher was shocked and said to him that is correct and that was the beginning of a new life.

Duffy Theater

Have you ever heard of Duffy Theater? Duffy Theater is a group of 3 people that do plays. Duffy loves to read, he has a little brother called Scruffy. The theme of there play was The Best Book In The World. As we sat down we were already sweating.

As they started the play Duffy introduced himself and his little brother Scruffy. My favorite part was when Scruffy was doing a Michael Jackson dance. We all laughed when Duffy and Scruffy did a robot dance together .

The story went on as Duffy and Scruffy was going through a garage sale. At last Duffy found The Best Book In The World. When he saw the book he just opened it and stood very still reading it. Scruffy wanted to play with him, but Duffy wasn't answering. So Scruffy went outside to play rugby with his cousin Manu .

It was a very fun and long story. It was the best Duffy Theater I’ve ever had.

Magic circus of Samoa Holidays

As we were waiting for the circus to open I got bored that I just started riding on my ripstick. I was so excited that I wanted to run inside but we had to wait for a while, at last we were in side.

While we sat down we just ate some food for a while.

It was dark and very spooky, I felt like I was locked up in jail. Finally two twins came out balancing on big bouncy balls. they started to balance and juggle. Seeing them on the stage I never knew that something like this was going to happen.

It was so fun and I had a great time.

All About Me

Hi, my name is Uili. I am 10 years old and I go to Pt England school. I have black hair and brown eyes. I am a full Samoan and I have three sisters and no brothers. My favorite subject at school is reading but the subject I hate is writing.

The movie I like most is Night At The Museum 2. I have a pet which is called Elfy and he is a little puppy. He is so small and chubby. Rugby is the sport I like to play because I played for my school last year. My favorite book is Geronimo Stilton

The food I love to eat is Fish & Chips. My favorite animal is a polar bear. The TV Program I watch is American Idol because I would always laugh at someone that doesn't know how to sing. The hobbies I like to do the most is spend time with my family and play on the computer.

In the future I would like to work on the road at night because that is where my dad works. My role model that has inspired me is my dad because he always helps me when I'm hurt.
