Two Soldiers On a Mission

One sunny morning two soldiers were sent from Turkey to america so they can show american's how to cross the road. It was a long journey for the to get to america because they came on a boat. They faced a lot of challenges like fishing and looking for water. As they came closer to America they saw a lot of cargo ships and fishing boats. They were so happy that day.



When they settled into there new hotel in America they were so hungry and thirsty. They were really lucky because the hotel's food was free and same as the drinks. The hotel's name was called the Swiff Para, I didn't know why they called it that but at least they have a name for the hotel.


As the two soldiers saw a crossing they quickly ran to it. When they were started to cross the road they first ran down a big hill and when they did it they face planted on to the road. They were really lucky because if there was a car coming or even a truck they would of been flat mates.


Next time you see a pedestrian crossing would you act like your best at crossing or will you look before you cross.

My Toy Came Alive

While walking to the warehouse to buy a remote control helicopter with my dad we stopped for some ice cream. When we chucked our rubbish in the bin we carried on walking. As we entered the store my dad and I went to the toys section. I looked around to see if I could find the helicopter toy that I wanted. Finally I saw the toy, I was really lucky because it was the last one! I raced like Usain Bolt and then I got told off by one of the workers, so I started to walk fast. At last I put out my hand and reached for the toy and I GOT IT!!!! I was so happy that day.

When I got home I hoped out of the car and played with my toy outside. It was really fun because my cousin came over, he had a helicopter toy just like me and we both played together. It was nearly night time and my cousin had to go home for dinner and so did I. As I fell to sleep I heard a sound, it sounded really familiar. It was my helicopter, I couldn't believe that it was alive flying by itself. I knew it was alive because when I went to sleep I took the batteries out of the remote control and put them in the cupboard.

It was so cool that my toy which was the last one on the shelf came alive. I was so shocked that it flew by itself. I didn't know what to do with it, so I just left it and went back to sleep. When I woke up I saw my helicopter lying on the ground, I couldn't notice if it was broken or sleeping. I was about to pick it up when suddenly it jumped up and started to fly, it was so cool that my toy was alive.

Watching The Olympics

GUESS WHAT! The olympics have started and I am really excited. The Olympics are held in London and there are 300 events in 26 sports at the 2012 Olympics. So far I have seen Woman's weight lifting, Men and Woman's swimming, Rowing, and Gymnastics. My favorite sport is Rowing because New Zealand Came first. They are an undefeated team and a lot of rowers that race against them have changed their events because the kiwi boys are too good!!

The opening ceremony was the best that I had ever seen in my life. I wonder what the next Olympics is going to be like?!

Immersion Assembly

Today was the first day of school and I only wanted to go because I wanted to play on my netbook. When the bell rang I knew straight away that we were going to the hall for Immersion Assembly. I really like the first assembly of the term because some of the teachers dress up and they sometimes make movies.

The first item was given by Team 1. They made a video which was about Dick Quax and Yvonne Williams. They were both in the Olympics and both represented NZ. The cool thing was that Mrs George actually got to meet them. Yvonne competed in the long jump at the Olympics and Dick raced in the 5000 metres run. Dick got a silver medal, but Yvonne got a gold.

My favourite movie was Team 4’s because my teacher was in it and he wanted to hunt fish with his spear gun but the olympics offered him synchronised swimming instead. Miss Garden was going to swim for the Olympics and she said that she has been practicing in the bathtub. All the performances and movies were so cool to watch. I wonder what next term’s theme is going to be?

P.E.P.A

Walking into the hall I felt nervous because when I looked around, I was the only BOY THERE. Soon, David and Jeffty came and I didn’t feel so nervous. That whole day since they were there to support my rap. It was kind of frightening when I performed in front of the P.E.P.A groups because I was the first one on stage. Happiness surrounded me as I walked off the stage. I felt really confident after I finished performing, I went and had a break and something to eat and drink.

P.E.P.A practice was nearly over and I was getting tired. When all of the other groups finished practicing it was time to rehearse. When I was rapping I felt really good because it was finally over and I got to go home. As I was walking out of the hall I knew I had to walk home because my Dad’s car wasn’t there.
