Empathy Posters
EMPATHY
This term we made posters about empathy. We got to pick pictures from the internet and Miss Paget printed them out. Unfortunately, Miss Paget didn’t print my photo’s out so I had to just draw it with crayons and pastels. Luckily Miss Paget printed out spare photo’s. All of the people who didn’t have pictures had to go to her then they all grabbed the pictures and the only thing I got was a picture of shoes. But at least I had a photo.
It didn't really matter if I had pictures or not because there were pastels and I just drew the pictures instead. The color of my background was yellow and I drew the word empathy across my paper.
I drew shoes to show that whenever somebody’s feeling left out just put yourself in there shoes.
I tried to draw my letters bigger on my paper but not to big I didn’t want to take up the whole space.
When our posters were done Miss Paget stapled them on the wall for the whole class to look at.

This Week's Strategy
This week W.A.L.T use multiplication and division to solve Part Unknown problems without diagrams. Firstly you have to do 4/6 of 42 then you have to do 42 divide by 6 which equals 7.
Now you have to get the 7 and times it by 4 which equals 28 and there's your answer.

How to Play Rugby
How to Play Rugby
Rugby is New Zealand's national sport and was invented by William Webb Ellis in 1823.
The first thing that happens in a rugby game is the kick off. There are only fifteen people in a team. Everyone that is in the team has to be behind the kicker otherwise it is the other teams ball. Once the kicker has kicked the ball the team chases it. When the other person from the other team has caught the ball you would have to try and tackle the person who is running with the ball.
When the person is on the ground the forwards come into the ruck and try to get the ball. The forwards are the ones who do the scrum, lineout and the rucks. Once the ball is out the halfback picks it up and passes it to the first five and the backs try to set up a move. The backs are First-five, Second-five, Centre, Wingers on both sides and the Full-back. They are the ones who always set up tries and get runaways.
Once the first five has the ball, he dummies the second five then passes it to the centre. The centre then draws the players from the other team to him and then he does a bullet pass to the winger which gets a try. The wingers on both sides are really fast.
As the person dives underneath the pole for the try the kicker quickly gets ready for the conversion. After the kick is over it is half-time. You could do a lot of mistakes when you play rugby like Knock-on’s, Turnovers in the ruck and stepping out.
Next time you're playing rugby and you forget the rules just read my writing!!

Meeting the NZ Breakers
Only 80 people could go and see the breakers. I was so happy to see so many people that were coming to meet the breakers. As we walked down to the Tamaki Recreation Center, we saw that there were no Nz Breakers team to be seen. “Hey Point England” the tall man said to us with excitement. “Hey” we all said to him with joy.
As soon as we sat down in the big hall, we were told to move to the edges of the court because the breakers were going to be playing where we were all sitting. “Alright class 1 walk quietly to the wall” Miss Va'afusuaga said.
When everyone from our school were seated more schools arrived to the breakers. “When CJ Bruton walks through that door everybody say his name really loud” the tall man said. “The Breakers are here” I said to my friends.
All the players came running through the door, but the last one was CJ Bruton. “CJ BRUTON” everybody screamed. Nearly the whole team were giants. Some kids got picked from the schools that were there to play a basketball game against the NZ Breakers. It was a really funny game because the school players were short and if you were to compare it with the Breakers team they were probably twice their size. We played a lot of games with the Breakers team, it was really fun.
After the games were over the Breakers handed out a booklet to all of us. We got to get it signed by all of the breakers team. I hope I could do this again.
